Jonathan “The Duke” Mardukas from Midnight Run
A classic American action comedy from the eighties, Midnight Run is as funny as they come. Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) is hired by a bail bondsman to apprehend a mob accountant, Jonathan “The Duke” Mardukas (Charles Grodin), and bring him to L.A. The Duke had embezzled $15 million from Chicago mob boss Jimmy Serrano (Dennis Farina) before skipping the $450,000 bail posted for him.
After finding The Duke quite easily in New York, Jack soon discovers that the coast-to-coast trip is not the 'midnight-run' it was promised be. And so begins the crazy journey that gives 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' a run for its money. To add to the level of difficulty of Jack's task, the FBI, the Mob and other bounty hunters are hot on their trail.
